All The Info

Hey there, hey! Life can be crazy, so I'm so happy you are choosing to spend some time in this little corner of the world. I hope you find this to be an uplifting place where you can relate, laugh, feel inspired, and most of all enjoy yourself - because life should be fun, amirite?
My name is Lindsay and I am a freelance writer, illustrator, educator, Army Veteran's wife, and mama of three littles (four if you ask our yellow lab,) I am a voracious reader, reluctant runner, nature lover, and shower singer, usually to very questionable music choices that surely do not include Broadway show tunes.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from the University of Tennessee and a Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Columbia College Chicago. I taught first, second, and third grade over the course of 8 years and loved (juuussst about) every minute until I made the super tough decision to leave my beloved classroom so I could spend more time with my own kiddos and offset astronomical daycare costs.  I love sharing real stories about all things parenting because we are all in this together.
To get my teaching fix, I substitute teach and tutor grades K-8 and mentor high school girls to educate and empower them about mental health and self-esteem.
But that’s enough about me. Get comfy, pour yourself a cup of tea (or glass of wine) and go exploring. I hope you enjoy reading about my shenanigans as much as I did experiencing them!
